Based on the research of examples from IBA57 and IBA87, the aim of the project is to propose a new habitat unit that can have the most varied amount of space qualities as possible. In order to achieve this, the proposal starts by understanding which qualities differentiate all the analysed dwellings and how can those qualities be abstracted and used in different ways in other contexts, not by a formal copy but by an interpretation of their concept.
After that research, the project comes to a theoretical proposal, where the different typologies are explored and tested in different theoretical contexts. At the end that theoretical proposal is applied in a real context, so the confrontation between our aims and the problems presented by the site can result in a new answer in the urban and housing context of Berlin.
